Missed call text message examples
The short answer
Every TextApprentice exchange follows the same shape: an automatic first text in your business name, the caller's reply, and your follow-up. Here is what that looks like across five trades, with the exact wording callers see.
TextApprentice is a Canadian missed-call textback service for trades businesses.
What every example has in common
Each exchange below starts with the automatic first text. It names the business, apologizes for the miss, asks one simple question, and ends with Reply STOP to opt out. The caller replies in their own words. The owner follows up by text or with a call. Nothing here is scripted beyond the first text.

TextApprentice (automatic)

Kitchen reno. Hoping to get a quote sometime next week.

Plumber: water heater quote
TextApprentice (automatic)
Hi, this is Lakeside Plumbing. Sorry we missed your call! What can we help you with? Reply STOP to opt out.
Caller
Just looking for a price on a water heater install.
You
Most installs land between $1,400 and $1,800 depending on the unit. I can confirm an exact number on site tomorrow morning if you like.
What makes these work
Short. Named. One question. Every first text does four things: it says who you are, it acknowledges the miss, it asks what they need, and it offers the opt-out. Nothing more.
The trade-specific question matters. A roofer who asks leak, storm damage, or quote gets a more useful reply than a generic how can we help. During setup, the wording is tuned to your trade so the caller's first reply already contains the details you need.
